West Virginia

If you think about West Virginia certainly you think about the rugged terrain of the Appalachian Mountains along with the wealth of outdoor recreational activites. Actually, eighty percent of the state is forested with over 110,000 square miles of hardwood forest. Every spring a portion of these forests are used to produce 100% Pure Maple Syrup, something you might not think about. Check out our local producers and festivals to learn more about the sweet syrupy goodness, it may just be one more reason to visit the rugged state!
